Last month, I was very thrilled to visit for the first time an exhibition dedicated to the work of Gabrielle Chanel at the Palais Galliera in Paris entitled Gabrielle Chanel. Fashion Manifesto.
This exhibition was impressive because not only did it present the chronological professional path of Gabrielle Chanel, but it also showed a significant amount of her creations throughout her career – from her beginnings, to her most iconic creations in fashion, beauty and jewelry.
It was very interesting to see Gabrielle Chanel’s original creations; to observe her unique style and her signature and how she redefined chic with practicality.
It was also amazing to see the modernity of her creations, since many of them could be in today’s fashion.
This retrospective exhibition was thus very informative, with a diversity of content including photos, sketches and press clippings. Its scenery was also beautiful and refined.
Superb work!
